Instead of making them rest on their laurels, it seems that the “Slot Provider of the Year” award that was handed to them for the second time in a row at this year's London ICE only proved to be an extra incentive for Play'n GO to go rampant with new slot releases. Their tireless team has once again outdone themselves with the reveal of their brand-new title: Imperial Opera.
Set in a traditional opera house in imperial China, it's another in a string of games that celebrates this Asian country's culture and arts. The popular theme is this time presented in the form of a 5-reel, 20-payline game, set in the interior of an old theater palace. The backdrops are the stage and the scene of a play in progress, where actors in traditional costumes appear. The game's graphics are a top-notch, high-definition feast for the eyes, while special attention has been paid to the score, which features proper operatic sounds.
Several special symbols will trigger a string of extra features. The Princess, which is something of the game's main protagonist, serves as a wild symbol, while mega scatter symbols trigger extra spins, if a sufficient amount of them (at least three) is landed.
The Harmony feature happens at random during main gameplay. When it starts, it will spin the same symbols on two or three reels. The Crescendo symbol converts all other symbols on one or two reels into Princess Wilds. The Showcase feature occurs on every spin and is manifested by stacking random symbols on the reels.
Play'n GO's CEO Johan Törnqvist said: “We’re excited to launch yet another regionally-targeted slot to our rapidly expanding portfolio in Imperial Opera, and we’re sure players will enjoy the concept and premium gameplay. Our games development team have stepped up their output this year, bringing numerous titles to market which have proved popular across the various territories we are certified within, and I expect this to be another smash hit.”
